This is an opportunity to spend some time in peace and quiet, to reflect upon how we are responding to our call to be sons and daughters of God. Recognizing the fact that we are “good people”, we also accept the fact that good people can sin. Through an examination of conscience we face those sins, admit them and are reconciled to God. For those who wish, individual confessions will be celebrated after the service. We encourage you to take advantage of this celebration.
March 27th at St. Gabriel’s Church at 10:00 AM
First Reconciliation for children attending St. Gabriel’s School will be at 10:00 AM. For children in the Children’s Faith Program, Private Schools and others, First Reconciliation will also be at 10:00 AM.

This annual parish event is again being sponsored by the Pastoral team. Passover is the oldest festival of the Hebrew liturgical calendar. It has been observed by the Jewish people for more than 3,000 years. Passover is a religious family meal celebrating Jewish freedom from slavery. It occurs in the spring, the time of renewal in “Nissan”, the first month of the Hebrew year, and it lasts for eight days. Why do we celebrate this “meal” at St. Gabriel’s? First, this celebration helps us to understand our religious roots, which are Jewish. Second, it is an opportunity for us to celebrate our growth as a community and be together with families and friends at this most special time during Holy Week. Please call the Parish Office at 416-221-8866 by Friday, March 26th to book your table of 6 or 8, or to have your name added to a table.
We’re publishing a letter from Fr. Joe Jones, our Provincial in the States, expressing the appreciation of the Passionist Community and Fr. Rick for your generosity toward his work in Haiti
Dear Paul, Thank you for your recent and very generous donation for our Mission in Haiti that was severely damaged by the recent earthquake. Your donation in the amount of $ 86, 039 has been deposited in the Haiti Hospital Relief Fund. Your name and the name of the Parishioners of St. Gabriel’s Parish have been placed on our altar so we can remember you in our Masses. May God bless you for your kindness. Gratefully, Fr. Joe Jones, C.P. Provincial
You can work wonders!
We come across people in need every day as we go about our business. Sometimes they are asking for our help. Other times, they carry their burden in silent resignation. it is our responsibility as Catholics to lend a hand as best we can, and most of us do so in many ways. Catholics in the Archdiocese of Toronto accomplish a great deal through their generous contributions to ShareLife. Together, we are working wonders. It is our calling. It is our responsibility.
The economic downturn has affected the lives of so many people in our midst. More than ever, ShareLife agencies need your support. Please help make a difference in the lives of those needing care, shelter and assistance. You can work wonders!
