Wednesday, November 7th at 7:30 PM St. Gabriel’s Passionist Parish
For many years, St. Gabriel’s Parish has participated in Holocaust Education Week. On Wednesday, November 7th at 7:30 PM we will present the film The Ninth Day. The Ninth Day is a German film, made in 2004 and directed by Volker Schlöndorff. The film is about a Catholic priest from Luxembourg who is imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp, but released for nine days. All are encouraged to attend.

There will be a Book of Remembrance placed on the altar for the month of November. You are invited to write the names of your deceased relatives and friends in the book. They will be remembered at all the Masses celebrated in November.
Sunday, November 4th at 11:30 AM in the Gabriel Room
On the first Sunday of each month, the Passionist Centre for Ecology and Spirituality facilitates a 30 minute reflection and discussion prompted by the readings for that Sunday’s liturgy. The guided reflection brings an ecological perspective to the readings. All are welcome.
Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill Saturday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM
Catholic Cemeteries – Archdiocese of Toronto wishes to invite all families to participate in the annual All Souls’ Day Mass on Saturday, November 3rd 2012 at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, 905-889-7467. The Liturgy will be celebrated in English and Italian. All are welcome.

Christians in the Holy Land very much appreciate your help by purchasing their Olive woodcrafts. Your help has made a difference to many families in Bethlehem and surrounding areas. Words cannot express how thankful they are for the opportunity you gave them to display the religious woodcrafts at St. Gabriel’s Parish. After All the Masses this Sunday
Our Youth Group will be holding a Halloween Bake Sale at all the Masses this Sunday. Proceeds from this sale will go towards the building of basketball courts for the Kiame Village of the Sar an gani Province in the Philippines – Fr. Brando’s old stomping grounds.
Don’t miss the delicious food and great music provided by our very talented young people.
Thank you very much for the stamps you sent us and for bringing us closer to a world without leprosy. We are very grateful for all your effort to save the stamps, trim them and send them to us. We continue to be encouraged by the enthusiastic response from stamp contributors and have raided over $7ooo this year to date. Please keep sending us your used stamps so that we can work towards the day when leprosy is eradicated.

It allows parishioners to make their regular offertory donations by automatic monthly bank withdrawal on or about the 20th of each month.
