SUNDAY & WEEKDAY MASSES TEMPORARILY CANCELLED

JANUARY 14, 2021

We remain grateful and want to thank all the parishioners of St. Gabriel’s Passionist Parish for their ongoing support during this period of great uncertainty.

Premier Ford announced that the Province of Ontario will be entering a state of emergency on January 14, 2021 in an effort to address the increasing number of positive Covid-19 cases in the province. The province has instituted a “stay-at-home order”, asking people to remain at home wherever possible, going outside of the home only for essential activities. The current “lockdown” measures, that includes places of worship have been extended by the province until at least Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Sadly, the restricted number of people permitted in the building remains at 10 people at any time. While public Masses is temporarily cancelled, we will continue to celebrate private Mass daily for the intentions of parishioners and for those suffering from Covid-19.

While we recognize this is not a substitute for attending Mass in person, we encourage you to view our parish online Mass which is available every weekend on this website. A list of online/livestream/televised Masses from other parishes is available at www.archtoronto.org.

We continue to thank you for your continued financial contribution during this time. Please mail or drop off your envelope contribution to the parish office. Alternatively, you can sign up for Pre-Authorized Giving by printing the form from this website (see under Finances) or requesting a form from the parish office. You may also contribute by credit card by clicking on the “Offertory Donation by Credit Card” button on this webpage.

So many of the faithful rely on the reception of the sacraments and our churches to find solace, peace and support during this period of pandemic. We will make every effort to continue our outreach to you in the safest possible way. We also ask that you find opportunities to assist those who are vulnerable or alone among us.

We will continue to update this web page as the situation evolves. We pray that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy. May God continue to bless you now and always!
