Afternoon Retreat,
Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 at 2:00 PM
This year, in particular, many are experiencing “wilderness time”. The liturgical season of Lent begins in the wilderness. God led Jesus into the wilderness to be strengthened and formed for his mission. Similarly, as we make our journey in the wilderness we are shaped for discipleship, for letting go and for living anew the great Paschal mystery from darkness to light, from death to resurrection. The wilderness journey is a sacred journey in “wild places” yet it reminds us that there is no place so harsh that God’s love cannot reach us. All welcome to embrace this Lent together through this afternoon of prayer, presentation and reflection.
The Retreat Facilitator is Sister Mary Rowell. The suggested donation for preparation time is $20:00. (if possible, for you). Please make any donation that is possible for you – for the Lent series or Ash Wednesday Retreat by cheque to: Villa St. Joseph Ecology and Retreat Centre 445 Monk Street Cobourg Ontario K9A 2S9.
