We pray for the реорlе of Ukraine today.
We pray for реaсе and the laying down

We pray for аll those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or реасе,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above аll, we pray for аll your precious children,
at-risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Реасе.

PARISH UKRAINIAN REFUGEE SPONSORSHIP, CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
St. Gabriel’s Parish is hoping to sponsor at least one Ukrainian family. This will be done under the guidance of the Office for Refugees Archdiocese of Toronto (ORAT). These are early days in this initiative and much of the process for being matched with a Ukrainian family in need has yet to be announced. As our Refugee Committee receives information and time lines from ORAT, the parish will be updated.
Sponsorship of a family will require the support of the St. Gabriel’s community in many different ways. If you would like to learn more about the volunteer roles and to sign up, you can access that through the parish website under Ministries, Refugee Committee. If you speak Ukrainian, we would appreciate you identifying that skill through the website.
Since volunteers on the committee will work one on one with the sponsored family members, it is classified as a High Risk Volunteer position by the Archdiocese and screening by the Volunteer Screening Committee is required.
For our Parish, this will be the fourth refugee sponsorship we will have done in the last 10 years.
We thank you, the St. Gabriel Parish members, in advance for your support.
SHARELIFE
ShareLife agencies need our support
The LA Centre for Active Living is a ShareLife-funded that agency that helps seniors. Here’s how your support of ShareLife is enabling their lifesaving work:
“This pandemic has had a big impact on the world, revealing new needs in our communities, and it through ShareLife’s support that we have been able to provide prepared meals and pantry goods every week to our members through our food delivery program. Your support is invaluable and we cannot thank you enough!”
Our parishioners have contributed $25,295 toward our goal of $198,000. Thank you for supporting ShareLife!
FOOD FOR ROSALIE HALL & GOOD SHEPHERD CENTRE
Thank you for your generous support of Rosalie Hall and the Good Shepherd Centre.
Your food donations are so important as Covid 19 remains with us and numbers of needy people continue to increase. Please check the expiry dates before donating since we cannot pass on food that has expired.

DIALOGUE AS A SACRED PATH: BUILDING OUR SKILLS IN TALKING WITH ONE ANOTHER
Tuesday, April 12th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
A VIRTUAL EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM
The Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal has invited Dr. Saundra Sterling Epstein (Sunnie), a well-known Jewish educator and advocate, to facilitate a program that will focus on dialogue as a sacred experience deeply rooted in our faith traditions. Participants will learn and explore the joys and challenges inherent in dialogue. We hope this conversation will sharpen our communication skills and foster ever deeper encounters between Jews and Catholics in the Greater Toronto Area.

YOUTH INTERFAITH VIDEO CONTEST 2022
Closing Date – Tuesday, April 19th 2022
WIN GREAT PRIZES!
The Archdiocese of Toronto Office for Interreligious Dialogue invites students to participate in the Youth Interfaith Video Contest sponsored by the Dominican Friars of Toronto in collaboration with The Catholic Register, Interfaith Youth Alliance Movement (IYAM) and Salt + Light Media.
The theme of the contest is, “Cultivating Friendship and Solidarity,” in light of the United Nations’ International Day of Human Fraternity (February 4th). This is a wonderful opportunity for youth to explore the theme of how our diverse faith traditions call on us to Rebuild, Restore and Renew our communities together, through cultivating friendship and solidarity. We encourage participants to not only highlight the contest theme but also to reach out to collaborate and engage with people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Entries can come from an individual or a team.
The video may be up to three minutes maximum in length and submit by the contest closing date of Tuesday, April 19th, 2022.
