SHEPHERDS’ TRUST

There will be a second collection for The Shepherds’ Trust at all the Masses on the weekend of November 16th/17th. The mission of The Shepherds’ Trust is to help support elderly and disabled priests. Many of them do not have sufficient financial resources to lead a dignified life after many years of ministry.
Your generous gift will help our priests, who have devoted their life to serving us in our communities, to maintain a modest but active and independent lifestyle in their retirement years. For priests who are ill or otherwise infirm, the Shepherd’s Trust supports many of them with access to nursing home facilities and medical care. Thank you for your support and God bless you.

CARING FOR THE NEEDY IN OUR CITY
Food Collection for the Good Shepherd Centre and Rosalie Hall
Rosalie Hall is an accredited children’s mental health facility focused on the needs of pregnant and parenting youth ages 12-25, their children, and their families. They offer prenatal supports for both Moms and Dads including prenatal classes, nutrition, and help to find a child care provider.
After the birth, they provide parenting classes, staff to help with the transition to parenthood and a school program where parents can finish high school and be close to their baby in the Early Learning Child Care Centre. They also provide a food cupboard, baby supplies and Live In services.
Good Shepherd provides hot meals and shelter for the homeless in our city as well as a chance to start again through the Resettlement or DARE Programs.
Your food donations are very important as numbers of people in need continue to increase.
Please check the expiry dates before donating since we cannot pass on food that has expired.
SHARELIFE
We are blessed to announce that a generous parishioner within our archdiocese, deeply moved by the vital work of ShareLife agencies, has pledged to match every gift to the ShareLife campaign up to $500,000 from November 1st through December 31st, 2024. This opportunity arrives at a critical time, empowering you to double the impact of your year-end gift, which provides a lifeline to 40+ agencies within our community. Your contribution to ShareLife will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
“Please join me in making a sacrificial gift to the 2024 ShareLife Parish Campaign. Thank you for living the Gospel generously and wholeheartedly.” Archbishop Francis Leo
