6th Sunday of Easter, May 25th, 2025 Psalm 67
We praise God because God blesses all of creation. God creates all and calls it good, God creates all as good, desires that good, and always provides. God blesses eternally.
Psalm 67 reminds us of this goodness of God and urges all peoples to praise God. Such thoughts permeate all three of our readings today: Acts, Revelation, and the Gospel as written for us by John.
“May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him.”
Your love can help others thrive
Mental health challenges can impact anyone, whether you’re personally navigating them or supporting someone who is. These struggles transcend age and circumstance. Brenda was weighed down by shame, having battled anxiety and depression for decades. Through your support, she found a new perspective at a Catholic Family Services agency funded by ShareLife, where counselling lifted her up and allowed her to see her own worth. Your compassion is instrumental in helping others see themselves as God sees them: loving, important, and enough. Thank you for living the Gospel by helping relieve the pain of those facing silent battles.
Thus far we have raised $39,678 at the parish level toward our goal of $169,000. Please give at the parish using a ShareLife envelope, online through our parish website, or at sharelife.org/donate.
June 7th & 8th
Bundle Up for Saint Vincent de Paul!
Bring your gently used textiles, shoes, clothing, bedding, draperies, and small household goods (no dishes please) to share with others on June 7th /8th. A Saint Vincent de Paul truck/bin will be in the church parking lot so please share what you can with those less fortunate. Your donations will be used/sold to support outreach efforts.
The truck/bin will be open all day Saturday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Volunteers will assist with the loading before and after each Mass.
Please note: Donations can only be accepted when the truck is open. We will not be accepting any donations before or after the Bundle Up Weekend.
The Society cannot accept baby items, building materials, dishes, furniture or books. A list of items that can or cannot be accepted is available by the Poor Box in the Gathering Space, or by calling the office.
Thank you for your continued support!
Each weekend, we collect food items for Rosalie Hall and the Good Shepherd Centre. Thank you for your generous support of both of the worthwhile organizations.
Rosalie Hall is an accredited children’s mental health facility focusing on the needs of pregnant and parenting youth ages 12-25, their children, and their families. Here the needs of young families are met, offering prenatal and parenting classes as well as staff to aid in the transition to parenthood.
Good Shepherd provides hot meals, clean clothes and shelter for the homeless in our city. They support the homeless who are working to overcome addictions and provide a chance to start again through the Resettlement or DARE Programs.
Your food donations are very important as the numbers of people in need continue to increase. Please check the expiry dates before donating since we cannot pass on food that has expired.

Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre, Pickering We often wonder where God is as we live our lives in a busy world. We go from day to day without standing still and reflecting on our life journey with God, how God has been there all the way along, even in times when we felt dry or abandoned in our spiritual life. The hope of this retreat for men and women is that retreatants come to a higher awareness of their individual unique earthly journey with God.
The retreat will be facilitated by Fr. Henk van Meijel, SJ.
The suggested offering is $65 per person which includes lunch, coffee/tea break and talks.
To register, email manresaregistration@outlook.com or visit https://manresa-canada.ca or call 905-839-2864.
