Serving at the Lord’s table is a great honour and responsibility. The Altar Server Ministry Team would like to invite children who are 10 years or older (boys and girls), who are interested in committing and dedicating time and effort to serve Mass. Any adults who think they may desire to serve are encouraged to volunteer as well. All that is required is a desire to serve at the Altar of Our Lord. If you are interested, email: altarserversstgabe@gmail.com or contact the parish office.

Psalm 24
Psalm 24 declares that all of creation belongs to God and that truth will prevail.
We sing the first three sections of this psalm, and these declare
….that all of creation belongs to the Lord
….that God’s holy mountain will be climbed by those who are pure of heart and who seek the truth
…that God will bless those who seek the face of God.
A question to consider: How are we to seek the face of God?
Or, put differently: What does seeking the face of God mean?
“Such is the company of those who seek him. who seek the face of the God of Jacob.”

Shine a Light for Persecuted Christians on Red Wednesday – November 18th
On November 18th, 2026, join Red Wednesday, an initiative of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN). Red Wednesday began officially with ACN UK in 2016, and has grown into a global movement with events in over 20 countries raising awareness of Christian persecution.
This year’s theme asks: “Who stands with persecuted Christians?”
In Toronto, where Red Wednesday has been commemorated since 2018, a Mass will be held at 5:30 PM. at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica with Bishop Vincent Nguyen, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto presiding. As in previous years, the Cathedral’s facade will be illuminated in red. Participate by attending the Mass, wearing red, or organizing local activities.

An ACN Canada initiative with the support of the Archdiocese of Toronto.
One of the most financially sound ways to support the Archdiocese of Toronto is with a gift of securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds). For further information, contact the development office at development@archtoronto.org.
