Thank you one and all who made our Holy week and Easter such a beautiful and uplifting time; those in the Music Ministry, our Lectors and Altar servers, our Ministers of the Eucharist, our Ministers of Hospitality, those responsible for decorating the Church and the members of our Pastoral Team. To you, the good people of the parish, your attendance and participation in the ceremonies helped to make this a truly Holy Week and Easter.

Catholic Education Week – May 1st – 6th
Our publicly funded Catholic schools invite parishioners to join them in celebrating Catholic Education Week 2011, which runs from May 1st to May 6th. During this week, the Catholic community celebrates the distinctive contribution that Catholic schools make to our students, our community, to our society and to the province at large. Catholic education continues to integrate Gospel values into every aspect of the school’s life and curriculum. For more information about Catholic Education Week or to find your local school board, visit GoodNewsForAll.ca or the Archdiocese of Toronto online at www.archtoronto.org.
Thanks to all those who provide leadership in our schools. In particular we thank the Principal and Staff of St. Gabriel’s School for the wonderful work they do. We pray for all educators and students, giving thanks to God for all those who faithfully spread the Good News.
Working wonders for families
Because of ShareLife, everyone in our region has access to a Catholic Family Services counseling office, regardless of their background. Housebound seniors receive care from Society of Sharing volunteers. ShareLife helps our brothers and sisters overseas through Development & Peace, Canadian Food for Children and the Pastoral Mission Fund. Immigrants and refugees are helped through Catholic Cross-Cultural Services and the Office for Refugees. Priests, deacons and religious workers are trained with ShareLife support at Serra House, Redemptoris Mater and St. Augustine’s seminaries. With ShareLife, our community is a brighter, happier and safer place for us all.
Next Sunday, May 1, 2011 is ShareLife Sunday. Please give generously. You can work WONDERS!

O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. When you send forth your spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord endure forever!
